When Tiny House Nation decided to create a kitchen with RTA Cabinet Store’s Elegant White Shaker RTA cabinets, the result turned out awesome. In Season 3, Episode 14, there was a 220-square-foot home that needed a kitchen, and it needed something elegant and contemporary, that would stand the test of time and be sturdy as heck. Thus, Kyle and Jennifer, the owners, would have something built to last.
Elegant White Shaker Cabinets
These RTA Cabinets are a great choice for any kitchen, but were especially nice for this tiny house. One reason is that these cabinets have a superb lineup of cabinets, with even more choices than most other cabinet lines, which means that there are a LOT of choices. There is also an assortment of accessories to choose from, and every piece of this kitchen line is top quality. This all means that the maximum amount of space could be used in the kitchen. With careful planning, the entire kitchen area could be turned into actual usable space.
Mixing and Matching Wisely
One of the great and beautiful options in this kitchen was the solid wood maple drawers that are included in the drawer cabinets. Having a shallower set of upper cabinets as compared to the bottom ones added a sense of roominess to the kitchen, which would have otherwise not existed and was an excellent choice. The interesting choices of cabinet sizes also perfectly matched the gadgets and lighting that was installed, creating a very cool, modern and extremely usable kitchen.
Accessories: Clean and Simple
The hardware on these white shaker cabinets can get pretty interesting, but in this episode, they chose simplicity, and it was the right choice. As this RTA kitchen was designed with colored appliances, the similarly-colored drawer and door pulls bring the kitchen together and help blur the lines between the RTA cabinets, countertop and those appliances. The drawers also have high quality openers and closing hardware as well, making the doors stable and solid to open and close, every time.
