I used your 60" Cherry Heritage Vanity for my master bathroom that I was remodeling. I had never used (RTA) Ready-To-Assemble cabinets before, but the process was quick and painless. I really like the fact that the back had openings for the drain and other pieces, so didn't even have to cut for the pipes. I really like the details on the cabinet and the rich cherry color.

I just thought I would share some pictures of the Chestnut Glazed Maple Cabinets that I bought and installed in my kitchen. As you can see by the pictures, everything came out great. They were super easy to assemble and install. Thanks for your help with selecting the correct size cabinets to fit the space. I will definitely recommend your website to my friends.

Kitchen Cabinet Refacing- Is It Worth It?

When you are faced with the prospect of redoing your kitchen, there are many different options to consider. Do you replace the current cabinets with custom kitchen cabinetry or use ready-to-assemble cabinets? Or, do you do what many homeowners are doing, and forgo the replacement of the cabinets by opting for cabinet refacing instead. There are pros and cons for each side of the argument and both have valid points.

Take a Look At Your Cabinets
Before you can even think about refacing your kitchen cabinets, you need to take a look at them and evaluate what you already have. Cabinets that are made of strong, sturdy wood and that are in good shape, are usually ideal candidates for cabinet refacing. Cabinets that are bent, warped and broken, are not good candidates for refacing because they are not structurally sound. It is important to have cabinets that are capable of withstanding heavy use after they have been refaced, or the process of refacing is in vain.

Layout
One of the key factors to consider with kitchen cabinet refacing is that the layout and design of your kitchen does not change. Where your cabinets are now is where they will still be at the end of refacing process. If there are problem areas in the layout of the kitchen cabinet design, refacing will not fix them. In cases such as those, it is probably best to install custom or ready-to-assemble cabinetry instead. Installing brand new cabinets will allow you to alter the layout and design of the room to suit your needs. You can add additional cabinets, as well as, relocate appliances to other areas of the room as needed. This immense flexibility is one of the reasons why many people prefer installing new cabinets instead of using their old ones.

Budget
It is a fact of life that kitchen renovations are wrought with budget issues. There are always unexpected expenses that come up that can eat away at the budget you have for the project. If you have a large budget, ready-to-assemble and custom cabinetry may be viable options. However, if your budget is on the lower end of home improvement projects, a more economical choice will most likely be cabinet resurfacing. Whether you decide to buy kitchen cabinets new, or resurface the ones that you already have, it is important to remember to work within your budget. You want your new kitchen to be a source of pride and excitement, not guilt and regret for overspending.

In terms of resale value, a kitchen that looks inviting and appealing is worth a lot more than one that is not cared for. If the refacing job is done well, it will be hard to distinguish a refaced cabinet from a custom made one. It is important to remember that the most important person to impress with your home improvement is yourself. If you like the look of refaced kitchens, there is no reason why you should not look into that kitchen remodeling option.
