Kitchens are notorious for dating a home\u2014making it look drab and outdated. Have you ever toured an impressive home you wanted to buy…until you entered the kitchen? From scuffed countertops to dingy cabinets and old appliances, an outdated kitchen can turn into an eye sore for a home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In October, Jake Botticello and his family came into the RTA Cabinet Store with a vision to do a complete kitchen remodel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While his adorable 2-year old daughter hid in all of the cabinets, he explained he wanted quality cabinets and a style that would not look outdated in a few years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a limited budget, Jake was able to complete a truly remarkable kitchen makeover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall Budget:<\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Jake spent about $3,400 on this spectacular remodel\u2014what an outstanding deal! He was able to put the cabinets together on his own, which is always a great way to save.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Style of Cabinets:<\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Jake decided on the Java Shaker<\/a> cabinet line to bring his vision of an updated, yet classic look to life. This cabinetry line offers a dark, almost black, finish along with a smooth shaker-style door that provides its contemporary and timeless look. With features such as dovetailed drawers and soft close drawer glides, the Java Shaker cabinets are also one of our most versatile lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unique Features or Touches Added:<\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This project was a true overhaul. Jake redid the floors, walls, outlets, put in a new sink, installed stainless steel appliances, added a new center island, and finished the remodel with a wine rack and additional shelving. The finished results are truly phenomenal\u2014you wouldn\u2019t even realize it\u2019s the same kitchen!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
