Where to Cut Costs Without Sacrificing Quality when Ordering Cheap Kitchen Cabinets

Everybody wants to save money, and a great way to do that is by ordering cheaper kitchen cabinets when remodeling a kitchen. But how can you be sure you aren’t cutting the wrong corners, and getting kitchen cabinets that are … well … cheap?

RTA Cabinet Store Does the Work For You

At RTA Cabinet Store, we listen to customer reviews and feedback, as well as customer complaints, to work closely with our manufacturers to make sure every line of cabinets we offer, from the top-of-the-line all the way down to the most affordable options, includes what you really need.

As an example, none of our cabinets include anything other than furniture-grade plywood in the construction of the cabinet boxes. Because these are load-bearing, holding up the counter as well as any weight you put on it, they need to be strong, and resist warping and flexing, and plywood is perfect for that. We never use MDF or particle board here, as that would make them less durable and more prone to failure.

We Optimize Quality vs. Price So You Don’t Have to Worry

Everywhere else, we make choices to optimize quality at a given price point. Some of our doors, for example, use MDF door panels, but with real hardwood veneers for durability and a solid-wood look. The door frames, which bear the brunt of the wear and tear of the doors, however, are solid hardwood on all but our most low-budget model. Face frames, too, are usually solid hardwood, as those take a lot of wear. To lower costs, a few models use hardwood-plywood of the same species as the veneers and door frames, because that’s a cost-cutting measure that won’t dramatically lower quality.

Our dedication to providing high-quality kitchen cabinets at a low cost means peace of mind for you, as you can rest assured that whatever line you select, you’ll be getting durable, high-quality cabinets that will serve your family’s needs, and look great, for many years to come.
