When it comes to affordable kitchen cabinets in the USA, you have a lot of options. Enough options that it can be a little confusing and overwhelming, in fact. Which is the best? How cheap is “too cheap”? There are definitely a lot of different corners to cut in cabinet design and manufacturing, but how do you know which ones are okay to cut, and which ones were really pretty important to the end result: the look, feel, and quality of your home’s kitchen?
We Use Only Top-Quality Materials
For our box frames, we use hardwood-based plywood, for optimum durability, warp resistance, and fastener holding power. This means sturdy cabinets that won’t warp or grow uneven over time. For doors, drawer fronts, and face frames, in most of our cabinet lines we use genuine hardwood, usually maple or birch. On a few models, we do use medium- or high-density fiberboard because of its superior ability to hold a smooth paint finish, but we never, ever use particleboard.
So how do we supply great kitchen cabinets for so little cost?
We Don’t Make You Pay for the Easy Part
The design of the cabinets, the fabrication of parts and panels, the woodworking that goes into creating beautiful doors and drawer fronts … these are the things a typical homeowner can’t do. They take advanced skills, high-end tools and hardware, or both. But assembling cabinets from their component parts? Well, if they’re designed right, that part you can do.
We design our ready-to-assemble or RTA kitchen cabinets to be really easy to put together. We use cam lock assembly, so you’ll know that once a part is locked in place, it isn’t going anywhere. The end result is beautiful, well-designed kitchen cabinets that you can put together yourself in less time than you might think. Best of all, because they ship unassembled, you’re not paying a bunch of extra money to ship around the air inside your fully-assembled cabinets.
