I used your 60" Cherry Heritage Vanity for my master bathroom that I was remodeling. I had never used (RTA) Ready-To-Assemble cabinets before, but the process was quick and painless. I really like the fact that the back had openings for the drain and other pieces, so didn't even have to cut for the pipes. I really like the details on the cabinet and the rich cherry color.

I just thought I would share some pictures of the Chestnut Glazed Maple Cabinets that I bought and installed in my kitchen. As you can see by the pictures, everything came out great. They were super easy to assemble and install. Thanks for your help with selecting the correct size cabinets to fit the space. I will definitely recommend your website to my friends.

Choosing RTA Kitchen Cabinet Colors

When it is time to replace those old kitchen cabinets with something new, cabinet choices revolve around not only the look and style of the cabinet, but also the color. It is important to give some thought to kitchen cabinet color choices before you begin the process of purchasing new ones. Whether you are designing a modern kitchen or a classic kitchen space, there are colors that work best with each different look.

White
White cabinets are timeless in their appeal. They look good in stark, modern kitchens, but also are right at home in a farmhouse style room. White cabinets can dirty easily, but they are also easy to clean when crafted of a durable material. With so many different white cabinets available, it is important to look at the style and finish of the door. Hard lines and a flat surface is more modern, while a slightly antiqued finish on a cabinet door with a raised panel is more in tune with a country kitchen.

Yellow
More unusual than white, yellow cabinets are perfect to lighten up dark rooms. They help kitchens that do not receive a lot of light look bigger and brighter. Yellow should be used sparingly though, because it is not a color that has the timeless look of a more neutral shade. Pale yellow is preferred over a bright yellow, but even pale yellows can quickly become outdated.

Red
Make a bold statement with red cabinets. Usually used in modern kitchen decors, red cabinets are often constructed of metal or laminate. Unless they are hand-painted, it will be difficult to find solid wood cabinets in shades of red. Although unusual, red is a color that can work over a long period of time by changing the other decorations and accessories in the kitchen. Red cabinets can enhance a patriotic theme, apple decor, a retro look and other themes that are common in kitchens.

Wood Grain
By far, the most popular colors for rta kitchen cabinets are based on wood grains. The dark cherry finishes or light maple looks are the most sought after and best-selling types of cabinets available. They are versatile and timeless. One of the great benefits of sticking with a wood grain, is that the rest of the kitchen can be designed around them without fear of clashing colors or mismatched decors. A medium tone wood is perfect for almost all kitchen themes and counter tops. Wood is also very easy to update with new cabinet hardware. Most pre-made kitchen cabinets that can be bought in home improvement stores feature a wood grain look or are manufactured from solid wood.

If you are planning on re-selling your home within five years of the remodel, choose a cabinet color and style that will transcend many different tastes. While you may be wild for your yellow cabinets, a perspective home buyer may thoroughly dislike them. A timeless kitchen look relies on basic materials in colors that look good when used in just about any theme.
