The Kitchen Renovation Contest Has Started!

While it took us a while to finalize the rules and regulations, we are proud to announce the first annual Kitchen Renovation Contest!   We are going to reward one lucky winner with $2,000 in cash (well, really it will be a check).   The contest is really simple, and there are no requirements for the amount of money you have to spend.   Simply buy some of our kitchen cabinets or bathroom vanities, document your renovation, and then answer the questions in the rules and regulations guide.   50% of your score will be based on the overall transformation, and 50% will be based on your answers to the questions (so start practicing!).  There is also a bonus 25 points for the person that comes up with the most creative use for our cabinets other than just the standard use.

So whether you are a professional looking to showcase your project, or a first time DIY'er, everyone has an equal chance of winning.  To register, simply go to the Kitchen Renovation Contest page on the website, or you can click on the image below.

Good luck to everyone that enters, and we look forward to seeing (and reading about) your renovation projects!

Only a Month Left for the Kitchen Renovation Contest!

With the Thanksgiving Holiday already here, that means that the end of the 2009 Kitchen Renovation Contest is coming up fast!  For all of customers that have been sending in pictures of their kitchens, don't forget to download the entry form.  The entry deadline will be here before you know it.   We are expecting a lot of good entries this year, so make sure that your pictures give a good snapshot of your hard work.

Kitchen Renovation Contest Coming to an End....Fast!

The final days of the kitchen renovation contest are fast approaching.   If you haven't submitted your entry forms, you still have a couple of days left.   I haven't started looking at any of them yet, but the pile on my desk is getting quite large! (looks like I know what I will be doing over the holidays!).  A lot of people choose not to enter because they think their kitchen isn't fancy enough....  don't forget, it isn't just about the money you spent or the size of the kitchen.  We want to see originality and the story behind it!   I hope everyone has enjoys the holiday season and we greatly appreciate all of your business in 2009.

Sincerely,

The Staff at RTA Cabinet Store

The Christmas Rush is over!

With the Christmas rush coming to an end, things are starting to wind down around here while we take an end of the year inventory count.   Even in the kitchen cabinet industry, there is a big increase in orders around the holiday season.   This week we will be doing a full inventory count, which may delay some orders for a couple of days.  Don't worry... we are processing orders as fast as possible once the inventory count is over to make sure we are close to our 8-10 business day time frame.

With the end of the year, comes the announcement of our kitchen renovation contest winner! Stay tuned for updates on who the winner will be for 2009, and pictures of their work.

Kitchen Renovation Contest Results...and the winner is!

Wow!   This year's entries have been overwhelming.  We actually received three times the number of entries we did last year, so we are taking a couple of extra days to make sure that we are truly picking the best submission.   We have narrowed it down to 10, so we will be posting the winner in the next day or two.   Stay tuned to the blog and the main page to find out who the ultimate winner is of the 2009 Kitchen Renovation Contest.

Karen Schellenberg is the 2009 Kitchen Renovation Contest Winner

After a lot of debating back and forth in our office, we are happy to announce that Karen Schellenberg from Morden, Manitoba, Canada is the lucky winner of $4,000 in our 2009 kitchen renovation contest!   Karen completely gutted a 1920's building and turned it into a modern urban condo using our Autumn Shaker Kitchen Cabinets and Autumn Shaker Bathroom Vanities.    She has some great pictures that we will be uploading to the site as soon as we get everything scanned and properly formatted.

It was really hard to pick a winner this year since we had so many great entries. Some had a dramatic transformation, while others were extra creative. Each year it gets harder and harder to pick a winner.  We definitely have some very skilled customers who know how to put together and design a kitchen.

Since it seems like all of our competitors have decided to copy our kitchen contest, we are putting together something even bigger and better for next year! Keep checking back to the website for updates on the 2010 contest.
