It took me a little bit longer than expected, but I finally got the pictures from the latest episode we participated in up on the site. If you go the Information tab and select News and Press Releases, it will take you to the links for both episodes. The kitchen really came out awesome and the Windsor Maple Cabinets look great! I hope you enjoy the pics, and look out for our next television appearance, which should be coming up on the DIY Network for the show "$10 Grand in Your Hand" which is shceduled to begin filming at the end of the month.
With the start of the new year, we are busy at work on some new shows on both the DIY Network and HGTV. Next week we will be heading out to Denver, CO to film two bathroom renovations for the show Renovation Rescue which will be debuting on the DIY Network in a couple of months. They are using the Cherryville cabinets for one bathroom renovation and the Marquis Cinnamon vanities for another house, both in the Denver area. Keep checking back for pictures of the finished product.
We have been super busy with the start of the new year, so we apologize for not getting the kitchen renovation contest winners pics up on the site yet. I will post a couple in a blog just to give you an idea of what the look like... I promise I will get them up as soon as possible!
Today is the big day that the reveals for the two different episodes of "Renovation Rescue" are being filmed. Unfortunately due to the weather in the Northeast, we were not able to make it to Denver to be there for filming. The production team promised to take a lot of pictures of the Marquis Cinnamon and the Cherryville vanities, and the transformation that occurred. Check back for pictures from the show. We just received the layout for the kitchen that is going to be installed on an episode of "Kitchen Renovations"... this one will be filmed in Philadelphia, so it should be exciting. That show will be taped at the beginning of March, and they have decided to install the Marquis Cinnamon Kitchen Cabinets.
Since we started participating in the home improvement shows, I have been getting a lot of inquiries as to how you (the homeowner) can get your house on one of the many shows that are filmed for HGTV and the DIY Network. Each show has it's own unique requirements- some require the homeowner to cover all of the costs, others help pay for some of the construction costs. The whole experience is quite exciting, even from our end, just watching the project come together. So if you are interested in getting your home on one of the shows, here are two links for shows that are currently looking for homeowners. The lists constantly change and not all of the shows are run by the same production company, so if you are really interested in getting on TV, I would suggest submitting your info for as many applicable shows as you can. Good luck! Let us know if you make it on to any of the shows.
As I mentioned in some earlier blog posts, we were fortunate enough to participate in another television show (this time on the DIY Network). It is a new show that is coming out called Renovation Rescue. While we were not able to be present for the actual filming of the show due to the horrible weather on the East Coast, the producers sent us some after pictures of the finished bathroom. It came out great! I am always amazed at the creative ways people use our kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities.
In this show, they used a combination of the Cherryville kitchen cabinets and Cherryville bathroom vanities to create a staggered height and staggered depth in the bathroom. Personally, I think it looks awesome! The cherry cabinets, along with the silestone top and glass backsplash really create a great look. While they were filming this episode, they were also filming another one that we supplied product for (so keep an eye out for pictures from that show in the next couple of days).
While I was out of the country, we received the pictures from the second episode of Renovation Rescue that we sent bathroom vanities for. Once again, they did a great job on the bathroom, even though it is was a small space. The Marquis Cinnamon Vanities looked great in the bathroom.
Stay posted for the upcoming episodes of Kitchen Impossible which start filming this week in Philadelphia! Check out all of the pictures under the News and Press Release Tab
Yesterday was the first day we were at the house for the upcoming episode of Kitchen Impossible on the DIY network. They had just completed the demo work, so there wasn't much action going on, but we delivered all of the Marquis Cinnamon Kitchen Cabinets that they are using for the house. Not sure when the installation will begin, but we will be back there to take plenty of before and after pictures for everyone to see. Later this month, we will be delivering cabinets for another episode of the show in which they are using the Chestnut Maple Kitchen Cabinets. Stay tuned for more updates about the shows.
As our company continues to grow and expand at a rapid pace, our partnerships with the home improvement networks continues to grow as well. We were contacted by another show on the DIY Network to help with a kitchen renovation. The television show is called Money Hunters. The episode will most likely be filming the end of April or early May. It is one of the new shows in the DIY Network lineup.
Matt Blashaw and Deanne Bell are…the MONEY HUNTERS. In this 13 episode series, they’ll track down home-improvement tricks of the trade, outside-the-box solutions and smart shopping options in an effort to deliver the best damn renovation money can buy.
“Money Hunters” is part of DIY Network’s suite of “smart money” shows and will air in primetime 2010 (Q2) in the block of programming including hits “Sweat Equity” and “10 Grand in Your Hand.” Each episode will challenge a couple to beat their home renovation budget. We’ll showcase everything from kitchens and baths, to garage makeovers, attic conversions and outdoor kitchens. If the homeowners get the job done in the black, we’ll give them a nice chunk of change: a thousand bucks. If they bust the bank, they’re on the hook for the overages, but they’ll still have a fab renovation anyway. And all along, viewers see new products, and learn valuable do-it yourself tricks and money saving tips.
stay tuned for updates about the show, and behind the scenes before and after pictures.
